Tunnels to Towers Foundation

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is dedicated to honoring the sacrifice of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. For 20 years the Foundation has supported our nation’s first responders, veterans, and their families by providing these heroes and the families.

2020- Mission Huntsville

MISSION HUNTSVILLE's objective was to raise awareness of veterans suffering from combat trauma is our multi-state motorcycle ride. An opening ceremony was held at our Denton, TX veterans outpatient clinic on Saturday, October 17, 2020, with a ceremonial flag-raising event. Riders then traveled over 1,900 miles with stops at our Bowling Green, KY, Cookeville, TN, and Houma, LA veterans outpatient clinics for flag-raising ceremonies before concluding the ride in Huntsville, TX at the H.E.A.R.T.S. Veterans Museum for the Walker County Veterans Outreach Festival. This fundraiser was in support of the Lone Survivor Foundation and the veterans to whom they provide much-needed care and assistance.

2019 - Mission Nola

Mission Nola's objective was to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of D-day and the more discreetly known codename for the Normandy invasion, Operation Overlord. To honor this day in history, we've chosen the National WWII Museum, located in New Orleans, LA, as the beneficiary of our fundraising efforts.
As a tribute to the courage and dedication of all WWII Veterans and specifically those who were part of the Normandy invasion, we created an event-specific-shirt featuring details of this defining day in our history. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of these shirts were donated to the museum to help with their $400 million expansion.
In addition to our fundraising efforts, a group of Valor Healthcare leaders escorted WWII Veterans from our Denton, TX, Sherman, TX, and Houma, LA clinics to the National World War II Museum for a ceremony in their honor.

2018 - Mission We Remember

Mission We Remember's objective was to honor the more than 1,500 Gold Star families supported by the Gary Sinise Foundation's Snowball Express.  Each December, the Snowball Express program hosts a five-day experience for 1,750+ children of the fallen and their surviving parent or guardian.
As a therapeutic retreat with a blend of fun and inspiring programs, these families can lean on their peers for support.  Through our efforts we helped bring Snowball Express to Walt Disney World® Resort!

2018 - Mission Laguna Hills

Our inaugural event was the Laguna Hills, CA VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic grand opening on May 18-19, 2018. for this event we asked each of our Valor/Concentra colleagues and vendors to donate at least “a penny per mile” to our chosen charity partner – Snowball Express, a program of the Gary Sinise Foundation.

As an important part of our fund-raising rides, Valor honors the traditions of our Veterans and pays tribute to those who have served our country. It was in this spirit of tradition that we delivered an American flag, previously flown over the U.S. Capitol, to our new VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Laguna Hills.  To further symbolize the unbreakable bond between our nation’s flag and those who died defending it, the flag was transported by our featured Veteran rider, Jonathon E. Cheatheam, United States Marine Corps, and will be raised in ceremony at each of the war memorials we visit on our tour.

Tour stops included, Bataan Death March Memorial (Las Cruces, NM), U.S.S. Arizona Memorial (Phoenix, AZ) and the WWI White Cross Memorial (Mojave Desert, CA).
